Duke's Journey

Almost a Year

Hello All,

It has almost been a year since my amputation and I’m still going strong. Mom and Dad didn’t know if I would have been around for Christmas but I surprised them.  They have been happy and excited that I’m doing so well.

I seem to get tired more but I’m not sure if it’s the extra energy I use or my age. I’m getting up there now, 11 years old and feeling it. I love to lay outside and watch everything and don’t forget about the barking.

Bubba has gained some weight after I had my surgery, which meant we had to change our food. It’s not too bad and Bubba has lost 8 lbs so far.

Anyway im ready for bed.

Goodnight All,

Duker

Duker this is great news! I’m so hoppy to hear you’re almost at that BIG milesone!

Yeah I’d say that you have earned the right to be extra chill and mellow. At your age, you’re royalty on three paws my friend.

We can’t wait to celebrate that one year. Do let us know when the pawty happens and don’t forget photos!
